Sammy Morgan (she/her) is currently pursuing a BFA in Media Arts at York University. She has completed a certificate program in Image Arts with a specialization in Film Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University's Chang School of Continuing Education. She is drawn to stories and art that incite hopefulness and introspection. Her main focuses include editing and screenwriting, and as of 2022, she's dabbled in virtual production and
directing for more major undergrad projects.
Through various mediums, Sammy has examined topics including mental health, self-acceptance, and segregation within the LGBTQ+ community. She believes in the importance of allowing young audiences the chance to see themselves reflected in the stories they absorb in their formative years. Having grown up in Toronto, it's important to her to advocate for local talent and creatives of all identities that better reflect our society.
